TAAP Account Executive
(Jakarta - Indonesia based)
Job Purpose:
Indonesia's Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) is looking for an exceptional Account Executive to support partnership acquisition, development, and management in Indonesia.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: (1) optimization of existing partnerships, (2) acquisition of new partners, and (3) support of operational processes.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong numerical and analytical ability, be able to communicate fluently in English and in Bahasa and have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Profiles having a background in B2B Travel Trade will be preferred. The job involves travel (75%).
Job Description:
Drive travel agency acquisition and retention, focusing mainly on both independent travel agencies and agency chains
Conduct sales calls, seminars, sales blitzes
Enlarge customer base through proactive calls and visits
Drive and maximize profit from active affiliates
Maintain close relationship with club members
Contact inactive and dormant members to encourage sales and resolve issues, if any
Manage relationship with TAAP GSA – Discover the World Marketing
Assist Head of TAAP - SEA and GSA in preparing and implementing marketing plans
Support operational processes for TAAP
Manage the development and deployment of EDMs
Support the identification of and execution against new partnership opportunities in India
Identify specific market needs due to business model evolution
Analyze industry and markets trends and competitor performance
Requirements
Excellent interpersonal skills (externally and internally)
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Confident communicator in English and Bahasa
Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Passionate about marketing and ambitious to develop new initiatives
Able to formulate, plan and implement strategies
Attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Work Experience and Education Guidelines:
Bachelor's or equivalent degree required
3-5 years business development experience in the travel industry, preferably in the outbound sector
Core Competencies:
Self starter with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate Expedia's value proposition to potential partners
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to completion
Must be self motivated and continuously strive for improvement
