E&I Project Site Inspector Job Description
General requirement:
Accountable for safe, on cost and schedule delivery and assurance for Monas project execution and construction activities for the following aspects:
· Engage work scope all contract holders to ensure the construction work plan and their scopes are aligned and that execution proceeds in line with agreed scope.
· Manage and resolve construction and interface issues or conflicts as they arise.
· Interface with operations for seamless HSSE, commissioning, and handover operations.
· Drive TQS performance and Goal Zero.
· Responsible for the development and ongoing improvement of preferred construction contractor relationships as it relates to project construction.
· Delivering on site construction quality, cost and schedule targets against agreed performance measures.
· Identifying and implementing cost and schedule reduction initiatives without compromising HSSE, technical integrity or quality.
· Drive Goal Zero, HSE MS objectives. Work closely with other functional groups to deliver specific Project goals.
· Demonstrate strong support for team and corporate values of Life Saving Rules and General Business Principal.
Description of Duties:
E&I inspector provides oversight for all Capital Construction activities with regard to Electrical and Instrument Installations at Monas Project Located in Indonesia. Included but not limited to power systems, control systems, field instrumentation, fiscal flow measurement, control valves, instrumented protective functions (IPF), and basic process control systems (BPCS).
E&I inspector should be familiar with INTools and be able to update documentation and be familiar with calculations such as dP flow meter, creation of level sketches, ladder logic drawings, control valve sizing.
The individual must be willing to dedicate the time required during intense activities (e.g. mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning). Some overtime work and or off schedule work for short periods of time can be expected in these circumstances.
E&I inspector is knowledgeable about basic control systems hardware (including their capabilities and limitations) and of selected specialty systems. The Coordinator is knowledgeable of current corporate and industry standards and practices, including Complex Standing Instructions, EGGS/DEPs, applicable TechNet best practices, etc.
E&I inspector is familiar with and provides input for the following GAME and Process Safety Initiative work processes: Instrumented Protective Function (IPF), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Ensure Safe Production (ESP), and Management of Change (MOC).
Experience Expected:
· Graduate Engineer in Engineering (Instrumentation or Electrical Engineer) or equivalent education
· With Requirements:
· Field Instrumentation
· CMA and Safeguarding Systems
· Project Delivery - Work Planning - Resource & Schedule Management
· Instrumentation and Electrical engineering knowledge
· Sound knowledge of DCS Systems, PID Control, process control etc.
· Sound awareness in project governess process, cost estimations and computer applications such as excel
· Lead / steer and managing EPC Contractor’s Discipline Engineers
Additional comments
Directly supervises Construction Contractors.
On call 24/7 for major emergency response.
Minimum Qualifications for Job-Education/Relevant Work Experience: Prior field/maintenance instrumentation experience required (typical is 5-8 years minimum). Experience with similar LOBP/Chemical Plant equipment and procedures are also beneficial but not compulsory.
