We have an immediate opening for Oracle Developer with Oracle PL/SQL
development and Perl Scripting experience

Responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of
Information Technology for the global Equity Derivatives and Fund-
Linked Products businesses. The candidate will be joining the
Operations and Support Team with dual roles for supporting and
maintaining Results Database (RDB) and LOTS Risk Management system
Duties and Responsibilities
§ Candidate will be a member of the Operations and Support Team
for RDB application development in Oracle Developer capacity and
LOTS in an operations and support capacity. The responsibilities of
the role are:
§ Take ownership for RDB and LOTS development requirements
§ Provide development/support during UAT in migration of books
to trouble shoot, rerun of scripts and make changes as necessary for
both London and Singapore.
§ Coordinate with Senior developer in New York to make sure
overall architecture is in line with New York.
§ Set up and coordinate usage of test environments
(Development, QA, UAT, and Production Parallel). Developers will be
available for assistance.
§ Make recommendation on production viability of releases.
§ An excellent candidate may also have the following
opportunities:
§ Business analysis: analysis and specification of new
requirements for the RDB and LOTS
§ Coordination of end-to-end testing across Front Office,
Product Control, Market Risk Management, Credit Risk Management,
Collateral and Client Statements.
Educational Qualifications
Degree educated in a related (IT/ Computer Science) subject matter
Experience
§ Strong experience as an Oracle Developer
§ Experience in Financial Services industry.
§ Experience with understanding financial data.
§ Experience working on both large and small projects
Technical/Business Skills & Knowledge:
§ SQL and PL/SQL skills in the creation of Oracle stored
procedures, functions, triggers, views and other Oracle DBMS objects.
§ SQL Querying - complex joins, correlated sub-queries,
aggregate functions and analytic functions
§ Experience developing complex packages, procedures and
functions
§ Experience integrating Shell Scripts with Oracle stored
procedures
§ Good working knowledge in query performance tuning (ability
to understand execution plans and work with DBAs to fix them)
§ Must have the ability to write Unix shell scripts including
sh, ksh, bash, csh skills (ability to understand Perl and Shell
scripts and make changes )
§ PERL scripting required
§ PERL, Excel VBA desired
§ Desired Change management tools experience (such as
SourceSafe) desired
