13.  Maintain petty cash given. Record and claim as per needed. Ensure receipts are complete.
14.  Distribute Bukti Potong of Art. 23/26 to vendors.
15.  Maintain Tax Filling (Art. 4(2), 21, 23/26, 25, VAT
16.  Update bank statement on daily basis.

Wildlife Crime Unit (WCU) Program Assistant (Base Medan)

The Wildlife Conservation Society – Indonesia Program (WCS-IP) is currently seeking for qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies:

Wildlife Crime Unit (WCU) Program Assistant (Base Medan)

The WCU Program Assistant will responsible:

 

1.     To work with WCU Medan Project Officer.

The Program Assistant will works with WCU Medan Project Officer to investigate illegal hunting, trading, smuggling, and keeping of wildlife in Aceh and North Sumatra. The main species targets of investigation are tiger, elephant, rhino, orangutan, and tiger preys. However, the surveillance will be extended to other species if it is necessary depending on the need.

 

2.     To set up secure intelligence works with WCU informants.


The Program Assistant will carry out routine inspection in the field to verify information of wildlife hunting, trading, or smuggling in Aceh and North Sumatra. The Program Assistant also works with his/her informant to verify and gather strong evidence of wildlife trafficking.

3.     To set up secure collaboration with local government and partner.


Program Assistant will be working with BKSDA's and local NGO's informant to carry out joint surveillance on wildlife hunting, trading, and smuggling. The collaboration should be designed by strong protocol and will be carried out carefully and securely among agents to avoid information leaks.

4.     To set up informant in North Sumatra and Aceh.


The Program Assistant should create informant network in Aceh and North Sumatra, and the main target area is in Leuser Landscape. The Program Assistant also responsible to maintain informant to support intelligence and necessary information regularly from their area.

 

5.     As backup agent to WCU covered are through out Indonesia.


The Program Assistant will be prepared as a backup agent to support intelligent works in Java and Southern Sumatra. The Program Assistant will be sent to other WCU area and works together with WCU agents in Java and Southern Sumatra to support law enforcement operation or surveillance.

 

6.     To deliver monthly intelligence reports.


The Program Assistant should send the monthly reports to WCU Medan Project Officer. The reports includes intelligence report and activity report (form pengendali). The WCU Medan Project Officer will evaluate the Program Assistant works based on the activity and intelligence reports.  

 

7.     To deliver monthly finance report.


The Program Assistant should send the monthly finance report to WCU Medan Project Officer. The money request and finance report will be delivered to WCU Medan Project Officer.

 

Qualifications:

 

1.     Minimum 3 years experienced to carry out covert surveillance and intelligence works related with wildlife crimes.

2.     Have ability to identify protected wildlife and parts in Indonesia.

3.     Have a skill to monitor and investigate of wildlife trade on bird market in Indonesia.

4.     Minimum 3 years experienced to manage informants and set up operation to arrest suspect related with wildlife crimes.

5.     Have a skill to work under pressure and dangerous situation, also following the intelligence protocols in term of security issue.

Background

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) has a distinguished history of scientists exploring and saving wildlife in some of the most remote and wild places remaining on Earth. WCS has long recognized that successful conservation requires a long-term commitment to individuals and places. Such a commitment has defined the culture and style of the Global Conservation Program, including the Indonesia Program.


The Wildlife Conservation Society Indonesia Program (WCS-IP) has significantly grown over the last decades, and contributed substantially to the conservation of biodiversity in Indonesia. We currently work in several landscapes in Sumatra and Sulawesi where we aim at protecting threatened species and their habitat. In order to achieve our overall goal of saving wildlife and wild places, the WCSIP programs are strongly supported and backed up by field activities that aim to reduce and mitigate human-wildlife conflicts, combat illegal logging, encroachment and deploys patrol to protect the habitat, and monitor and sustain the health of wildlife.

 

Human-Wildlife conflicts in the landscapes where WCS-IP works have increased over the last decennia as human populations continue to expand into the wilderness areas. These have resulted into negative impacts on people and their resources as well as wildlife species and their habitat. Through a number of interventions, WCS-IP aims to mitigate the human-wildlife conflicts and ensure a sustainable co-existence between people and wildlife.

 

To increase the effectiveness of our conservation interventions and to strengthen the role of WCS-IP in mitigating human-wildlife conflicts, WCS-IP has decided to establish a unit, called WRU (Wildlife Response Unit). As WRU unit covers the area of Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (BBSNP) and Bukit Balai Rejang Selatan (BBRS), WCS-IP is looking for a strong and motivated WRU Team Leader to lead this unit. The Team Leader will be required to plan, manage and run the unit. The work will cover field interventions, compiling and analyzing data regarding human-wildlife conflicts, and developing innovative interventions to address the issues.

 

The Team Leader is also responsible to run SMART patrol as an intervention approach to reduce forestry crime including illegal encroachment, hunting, and logging by systematic patrols. The Team Leader will work day-to-day with forest rangers and community rangers to design the strategy and implementation of SMART patrol to protect BBSNP. The Team Leader will be advised by Law Enforcement Legal Advisor and assist law enforcement activities such as arresting illegal logger, encroacher, and poacher during the patrol.

 

The position will be based in Kota Agung, with intensive trips to the field to run the project. The Team Leader will work under the general supervision of the WRU/TPU Coordinator, as well as work closely together with other colleagues in the Kota Agung office as a team. The position will be available for a period of 6 months from November 1, 2013, with possibility of extension depending on available funding.

 

The Team Leader will be responsible to oversee the responsibilities and activities of this program by:

 

Human Wildlife Conflict


Ø  Carrying human-wildlife conflict patrol surrounding BBSNP and BBRS border to detect unreported human-wildlife conflict and gather the information, also history of wildlife conflict from community.

Ø  Initiating community wardens to promote human-wildlife conflict intervention and methods to community. Preparing the module and curriculum as well as circulating them to the field staff in targeted area.

Ø  Training community to understand tiger ecology and behaviour, self defence from tiger attack and building TPE (Tiger Proof Enclosure) to protect livestock from tiger attack.

Ø  Coordinating with BBSNP and BKSDA Lampung in handling human-wildlife conflict to achieve effective and efficient approach.

Ø  Mitigating human-wildlife conflict in BBSNP and BBRS, especially human-tiger conflict to avoid victim of the tiger, people and livestock.

Ø  Update SIMONIK (Sistem Monitoring Konflik) database

Ø  Preparing recommendation to BBSNP and BKSDA Lampung for emergency case of tiger trapped by snare, evacuation, or translocation issue.

Ø  Preparing monthly report to BBSNP and WRU/TPU Coordinator related to the mitigation progress.

 

SMART Patrol


Ø  Implement SMART, including conduct training sessions, transfer knowledge and data analysis from team leader to patrol member.

Ø  Setting up patrol teams consist of WCS-IP staff, forest rangers, and community rangers.

Ø  Carrying SMART patrol training to patrol member including data gathering from the field, input the data into SMART, and preparing report based on the result of data analysis.

Ø  Working together with BBSNP to develop strategy of patrol based on the result and analysis of SMART patrol. The patrol evaluation and plan will be scheduled per month in Kota Agung.

Ø  Carrying out and coordinating monthly patrol in 3 selected areas in BBSNP. The selected areas will be discussed intensively among Team Leader, WRU/TPU Coordinator, and BBSNP.

Ø  Creating monthly report to BBSNP and WCS in terms of SMART patrol activities and the result.

 

 

Others


Ø  Undertake any other duties, as assigned by WRU/TPU Coordinator.

Qualifications

The post holder should preferably have a graduate qualification in biology and ecological science.

 

Experience

•     Strong background in human-wildlife conflict and wildlife health, biological monitoring including collecting and analyzing data, and patrol.

•     At least 4 years working experience in human wildlife conflict and biological monitoring with 1 years in managerial level.

•     Proven track record of program management, including project development, implementation, staff supervision and budget oversight.

Lestari Banten Energi, an Independent Power Producer and a subsidiary of Genting Group, is developing a 1 x 660MW PLTU Banten power plant in Banten Province , Indonesia . In view of our significant and growing business operations in Indonesia , we seek to hire qualified candidates to fill the following positions to be based in Kelurahan Salira, Banten Province , with responsibilities and requirements as follows:

Project Manager


Responsibilities :
1. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities at site to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
2. Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
3. Establishes work plan and staffing for the project site, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project site personnel.
4. Confers with site staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
5. Directs and coordinates activities of site personnel to ensure project site progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
6. Reviews status reports prepared by site personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project site reports for management.
7. Confers with site personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
8. Responsible for overall quality and management of major projects site or programs.
9. Oversee budget and ensure financial accountability.
10. Hire personnel for project site implementation.
11. Train staff.
12. Typically responsible for supervision of classified staff.
13. Recognize and solve potential problems and evaluate project effectiveness.
14. Established operating procedures for project/program. Ensure procedures meet program goals.
15. Provide program content expertise, which may include delivering in-service training and direct programming.

Requirements:

1.Civil Engineering degree from a recognized Indonesian or foreign university
2.At least has 10 years of experience in construction as project manager / site manager in the power plant
3.Has a good leadership, and experienced in power plant construction from the scratch to plant

Civil & Structural Engineers

Responsibilities:
1.Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
2.Ensure transportation or hydraulic systems and building structures, meet construction and government standards.
3.Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
4.Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
5.Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
6.Monitor the construction activities of the contractors.
7.Reports to Project Engineering Manager of all kinds of issues arouse from the construction activities at site.

Requirements:

1.Civil Engineering degree from a recognized Indonesian or foreign university
2.At least has two (2) to four (4) years of experience in civil and structural in the relevant industry

Electrical Engineers

Responsibilities:
1.Coordinate and supervise site electrical activities such as erection and installation electrical panels, transformer, cables, cable trays and etc.
2.Divide the work within sub-group teams and allocate required resources such as manpower, equipment and tools upon the work schedule, site condition and progress of the works
3.Ensure the contractors' work under specified quality level
4.Review and ensure the specifications of equipment supplied are according to the design specifications set.
5.Responsible to review contractors' work procedures and method statements
6.Responsible to make sure all the needed drawings and manual or any other required technical information is available with the installation team
7.Communicate with Vendor representative at site to get necessary guidelines and hints
8.Oversees electrical, lighting and power circuit.

Requirements:

1.Electrical Engineering degree from a recognized Indonesian or foreign university
2.At least has two (2) to four (4) years of experience in electrical in the relevant industry

Mechanical Engineers

Responsibilities:

1.Coordinate and supervise site mechanical activities such as installation of steam turbine and generator, boiler, BOP and Ash & Coal handling equipment.
2.Divide the work within sub-group teams and allocate required resources such as manpower, equipment and tools upon the work schedule, site condition and progress of the works
3.Ensure the contractors' work under specified quality level
4.Review and ensure the specifications of equipment supplied are according to the design specifications set.
5.Responsible to review contractors' work procedures and method statements
6.Ensure the availability of required material in connection with warehouse to ensure work continuality
7.Responsible to make sure all the needed drawings and manual or any other required technical information is available with the installation team
8.Communicate with Vendor representative at site to get necessary guidelines and hints

Requirements:
1.Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognized Indonesian or foreign university
2.At least has two (2) to four (4) years of experience in mechanical in the relevant industry

Logistics and Formalities Officer


Responsibilities:

1.Prepare and track Master list approval
2.Get importation Permit including but not limited API-P, IP Besi or Baja, NPIK and NIK/SPR
3.To support operation planning and tracking
4.Get permit end necessary documentation for vessel charter
5.Produce report for Project Manager on range of related activities, documenting process, processes and decisions, making recommendation as appropriate
6.Responsible to appropriate processes in accordance with applicable regulation
7.Expedite the delivery to meet the targeted timeline and company objective
8.Maintain a good document control for all permit obtained
9.Responsible to ensure of appropriate procurement processes are maintained in accordance with Regulation

Requirements:

1.Bachelor degree from a recognized Indonesian or foreign university
2.At least has four (4) to six (6) years of experience in handling logistics and formalities in the power plant industry
3.Has good experience in handling custom clearance.
4.Has good relationship with Custom

HSE Officer

Responsibilities:

1.Develop Company's HSE Management System and HSE-Manual to be implemented in the company.
2.Develop Contractor Safety Management System for the company.
3.Conduct socializing and campaigning Company's HSE General Procedure and HSE Issues which comes up from Management.
4.Conduct HSE Training, Safety Induction and HSE Meeting at Office and Site
5.Conduct HSE Audit and report to the Project Manager
6.Develop Standard Operating Procedure, Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessment and Work Instruction related to particular job.
7.Accompany Auditor and Vendor personnel during inspecting or visiting the site
8.Conduct Near Miss and Accident / Incident Investigation.
9.Administer and document all data & file related to HSE aspect.

Requirements:
1.Bachelor degree from a recognized Indonesian or foreign university, HSE degree is preferably
2.At least has five (5) to seven (7) years of experience, preferably in HSE in the power plant industry
