Description:

Position: Gas Plant/Field Operators

This position will assume the responsibility of monitoring and optimization of all production process variables, ensuring that all production equipment is operating at peak reliability and efficiency, and acquiring and storing data.

Job Function:

Responsible for the day-to-day hands on control of sweet and/or sour wells, facilities, and all related equipment
Operate wells and related equipment in a manner that maximizes production and minimizes operating costs
Complete the daily collection and recording of data, and production flow
Perform checks and complete tests to ensure all products meet required sales or disposal specifications
Maintain and update information in area or facility logbooks ensuring information recorded is pertinent and concise
Coordinate outside services and provide direction as required
Maintenance duties and supervision of contractor personnel
Ensure all sites are compliant with OHS Regulations

.Education Requirement

Post secondary education is an asset
Fourth class power engineering, Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical tickets would be an asset
Gas process operator certification is an asset
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license

Experience Required:

Previous operating experience (for some positions full training can be provided)
Amine operating experience
High mechanical aptitude
Mechanical knowledge of related equipment, including gas compression/dehydration, plunger lift systems, pumpjack operations is preferred, however we are willing to train the right individual
Familiarity with production accounting and reporting an asset
Must demonstrate awareness and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Ability to recognize and bring forward optimization opportunities
Ability to troubleshoot production related problems
Must be computer literate and willing to progress in the oil and gas industry

May be required to work at remote plant locations
Possible shift work up to 14 days consecutive
Possibility of extensive travel to work location
Must successfully complete Pre-Employment Screening process (drug and medical)
