Global Maritime is a leading consultant for offshore engineering design and marine operation services on a world-wide basis. The Group has been consistently engaged on major marine offshore projects for over 28 years. Our Regional office in Jakarta is inviting dynamic individuals for the following challenging position.
 
 
HSE – Risk Engineer (Jakarta Base)

 
 
Desired Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will hold the following skills and qualifications:
·     More than 5 years relevant experience in HSE on the field of design, offshore fabrication and installation, ideally in oil and gas industry.
·         Bachelor Degree in Engineering or other related field.
·         Preferred with HSE background of experiences.
·         Trained in Emergency Response.
·         Accident investigation training.
·         General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
·         Member of recognized industry body (IOSH, IEMA, IRCA etc.).
·         Extensive knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and Local HSE Legislation.
·         Experience in HSE regulations, and industry best practices, or other related in Indonesia.
·       Training in relevant HSE specialties, e.g. Behavior Based Programs, Root Cause Analysis, COSHH Assessor etc. will be an advantage.
·         Excellent computer skills required.
·         Immediate availability.
 
 
Job Description

The key dimensions of the role include:
·     Provides technical oversight and implementation of Company HSE Management systems and programs for the respective business location.
·         Ensures compliance to Client's Health, Safety and Environmental Systems; GOPS, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 and applicable local HSE legislation.
·         Promote continuous improvement in Company HSE systems and programs, including promoting safety awareness and behavior to the work force.
·         Represent the Company as the ambassador and leader in the field of HSE.

·         Ability to interact with client, Senior Management level, and also able to represent the company to other 3rd parties.
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

·         Self-starter requiring minimum supervision.
 
 
Main Accountabilities

•      Implement and audit the Company Health, Safety and Environmental systems; Ensure compliance to GOPS, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 and applicable local HSE legislation.
•      Provide support to the organization and projects on HSE matters.
•      Ensure development, implementation and updating of HSE programs, procedures and plans.
•      Ensure completion and validate results of HSE risk assessments. Maintain records and report status of mitigations and implementation of controls.
•      Conduct and facilitate internal and external HSE auditing as per audit schedule; Ensure identification of root cause and implementation. Follow-up and verify closure of actions.
•      Monitor audits and analyze results and generate effective means to improve the HSE management system. Ensure incident reporting and incident investigation procedures are implemented; Coordinate accident/injury investigations and lead investigations. Verify incident actions are closed.
•      Coordinate HSE inspections of project work sites and carry out scheduled walk-through with site management.
•      Coordinate, track and report on HSE worksite inspections. Follow-up and ensure closure of actions.
•      Monitor housekeeping program to consistently improve standards.
•      Liaise with municipalities and other relevant organizations to remain informed of latest safety requirements for area, reporting changes to management.
•      Coordinate and conduct HSE training of employees to ensure competency of workforce is maintained as required.
•      Collect and report HSE performance statistics (KPIS, leading and lagging indicators) to Senior Management.
•      Ensure that the Project HSE plan and activities are in compliance with the Clients HSE Management Systems and report compliance to Project KPIs and objectives;
•      Carry out instructions in relation to other HSE activities as required.
