Senior Design Engineer

Urgently needed :

Senior Highway Design Engineer (Team Leader)
 
Responsibilities:
-        Monitoring the team work
-     Providing design and drafting services for roads design team for the preliminary and detail design phases of a project
-          Reviewing design and drafting works completed by colleagues or other parties for compliance with original design intent, the clients standards and  internationally recognized best practice
-          Interpreting survey results into technical drawings
-          Promoting and improving professional standards for road engineering design
-           Mentoring and guiding CAD operators, Assistant Highway Design Engineer and Highway Design Engineer
-          Audit checking of on-site construction against intent of the road design and reporting findings to the QA Engineer or project manager or team leader.
-          Advising the project manager or team leader on project design in all projects
-          Advising and supporting the project engineer and the QA Engineers on any technical design issues arising from the projects.
 
Qualifications:
-          Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
-          Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in civil or road engineering
-          Good knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer based design packages
-          Relevant experience in developing countries for the purpose of infrastructure development.
-          Understand geometric design
-          Understand pavement design
-     Having experiences in field supervision could be an advantage.
