The Indonesia Infrastructure Initiative (IndII) is funded by the Government of Australia through the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID). IndII aims to assist national and sub-national agencies improve infrastructure in Indonesia. IndII was originally established for a three-year period ending in June 2011. A follow-on project is now underway and will operate until June 2015 managed by SMEC International Pty Ltd. IndII will continue work across a range of infrastructure sectors, including transportation, water and sanitation, and telecommunications.
SMEC now invites applications for IT Technical Assistant based in Jakarta.
Under the direct supervision of the IT Manager, the IT Technical Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, support and implementation of the IT Infrastructure in IndII. In particular he/she will:
Provide onsite/remote IT support to IndII Staffs at Main Office and Satellite Offices
Install/Support/Maintain a wide range of IT Infrastructure (Server, Workstations, Network, Printers, PBX, Internet, etc.)
Identify recurring problems, systemic problems or other factors impacting computer issues
Liaise with External Service Provider for resolution of problems
Maintain registry of all hardware and software
Assist in developing the Information System
Perform any other duties as assigned
Other key attributes should include:
A university degree in Computer Science or relevant education
Having experience or knowledge in Microsoft Client-Server Environment and Applications
Minimum 2-years experience working in a similar role
Having experience or knowledge on Web/Database programming (.NET) is preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills in Indonesian and English
Having sufficient skills on networking system and computer problem solving
Ability to handle confidential data in a professional, responsible and mature manner
