Project Assistant (PA) of IKAT US Component 1 - POWER


Organizational Context:
The Partnership for Governance Reform in Indonesia, (Kemitraan) in partnership with a US based non-governmental organization, the National Democratic Institute (NDI) along with regional partners; Indonesian Women's Coalition (KPI), Persatuan Kesedaran Komuniti Selangor (EMPOWER) from Malaysia, Women's Caucus from Timor Leste, the Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR), the Center for Popular Empowerment from the Philippines will implement a 36-month program on the Component 1 of USAID's "IKAT-US: Civil Societies Innovating Together" program initiative.

Through the IKAT US Component 1 Program, Kemitraan with NDI and its regional partners is proposing to strengthen political rights of women and democracy by advocating the promotion of increased women's political representation through regional partnership initiatives. Under the proposed IKAT US Component 1 program initiative, Kemitraan plans to achieve such goal through to strategies.

The first is to increase the capacity of Kemitraan and Regional Partners to conduct and collaborate on activities for the promotion of Democracy in Southeast Asia. In achieving this objective, Kemitraan will work alongside with NDI to provide technical assistance, through training, mentoring and inviting Kemitraan participation in ongoing NDI projects, to strengthen the capacity of Kemitraan and regional partners to project their expertise, conduct programs and consolidate networks on a regional scale. The second objective that Kemitraan has proposed under this program initiative is to enable Kemitraan and Regional Partners promote advocacy of the minimum target of 30 percent women's political representation in Southeast Asia. In achieving this objective Kemitraan will support each partner organization to start with a quick internal evaluation of the social, economic and political environment and core issues connected with women's political representation.
Summary of key functions:

•    Preparation of projects implementation;
•    Ensure quality of grantee/implementing partner financial and administrative compliance;
•    Budgeting and Advance Settlement;
•    Participation in knowledge sharing and building;
•    Other required administration and clerical services
Recruitment Qualifications:
Education:  
Minimum of S1 in management/finance/accounting/public administration or other relevant field.

Experience:  

Minimum of 3 years progressively in project administration and experience in organizing many events, especially with government, civil society organizations, and/or donor agencies at the national or international level. Having experiences working with Kemitraan previously or projects of UNDP would be an advantage. Having good communication and interpersonal skill. Ability to work in highly pressured environment. Having availability to carry out necessary travel assignment. Having knowledge and skill to operate financial software (SUN System, Quick Book, etc). Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc), advance knowledge of automated procurement systems, experience in handling of web based management systems.
Language Requirements:  
Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
